4:40 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 12) – City Man 4/1 (2-star play) This ex-British trained mare has form figures of 071 from three starts on American shores so she is improving and the way in which she stamped her authority on the field in an Allowance Optional Claimer over course and distance last time tells me that she could outrun her odds. Shantisara is likely to take plenty of beating in the Filly & Mare Turf Invitational over an extended mile on the turf but there’s some good fillies lining up against her and I like the longshot in stall four, Sweet Enough, who is getting the hang of things in the States. 4:06 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 11) – Sweet Enough 20/1 (1-star play) He was good enough to hit the board in a Grade 2 over course and distance of a mile on the dirt last season and comes into this off a comfortable victory in an Allowance Optional Claimer so he has to go well here.
Hopper Stakes and he can run a big one in this. Michael Maker’s Endorsed is doubly entered on Pegasus World Cup night as he is second reserve in the big race itself but looks as though he will end up in Race 10 on the card which is the Grade 3 Fred W.
